Schools

  • One-off sessions as a reward for student achievement, attendance, progress or attainment
  • One-off sessions as an end of year treat
  • One-off sessions for leavers
  • One-off sessions for students as part of an induction programme
  • Weekly sessions as part of your PE curriculum
  • Half termly sessions as part of your PE curriculum
  • Fundraising event

Our sessions can be unstructured, which means that climbers are free to move around the arena and choose what they want to do.  Alternatively, you may like to take advantage of our session plans, which are devised to encourage social, emotional and physical well-being.  The children explore ways to encourage teamwork, communication, critical thinking and problem solving.  We build on their strength, balance, coordination and flexibility.

The Arena

Our arena takes up to 35 climbers per session.  We are at our discretion able to increase these numbers slightly, in order to accommodate larger class sizes for example.  Equally, if you have a smaller number, we can happily accommodate!

Sessions

Sessions start on the hour with a safety talk and the harnessing of the climbers.  Entry into the arena is at half past the hour, for sixty minutes of climbing, the last few moments of which are used to unharness the climbers.  For health and safety reasons, we do not allow non-climbers into the arena unless by prior agreement.  This might be for reasons of SEND, where our own team are unable to provide the support or assistance needed.  Non-climbers are warmly invited to visit our 2-level café where they can enjoy some delicious refreshments and watch the climbers from our viewing balcony.

Cost

We do have a discount for schools.  This is based on term time visits during school hours.  If you would like to come outside of these times, we will of course see what we can do in terms of pricing, but it is down to the discretion of the Centre Manager, which in turn is down to availability.  Get in touch for more information.

Charities

  • If you are a charity looking for somewhere to hold a fundraising event
  • If you are a charity looking for a venue to take some of the people your charity supports
  • If you are a charity looking for a safe place to take vulnerable people for some fun and the opportunity to build confidence

We have worked with some amazing charities since we first opened nearly ten years ago.  Many of them come back again and again and we are delighted to be a part of their journey.

Youth Groups

Examples of youth groups:

  • Brownies
  • Guides
  • Scouts
  • Cubs
  • Rainbows
  • Athletics Clubs
  • Recognised Volunteering Groups
  • Duke of Edinburgh
  • Sports Groups
  • Religious Clubs
  • Music Clubs

It is well known that youth clubs help to build young people’s self-esteem and self-confidence.  Clip ‘n Climb Chelsea is invested in helping these clubs to develop young people’s ability to manage personal and social relationships, creating opportunities for them to develop new skills, find their voice and their place in society and thus reach their full potential.

Our climbing arena is a fantastic way to encourage a positive group atmosphere and to build the capacity of young people to consider risk, make reasoned decisions and take control.
